Autumn

So… it’s feeling very Autumnal in Falmouth. And in true back-to-school style we’re getting our heads stuck into some serious planning for the rest of the year. We’ve made some lovely new friends over the summer, gigging in little seaside venues and big town-centre galleries, and we’re full of beans about working on new ventures.

Particularly happy waves *hello* go to Caroline Pedler whose gorgeous illustration work makes up one 5^th of the hi5 art collective. We had a really good time playing at their launch night. The Tea Appreciation Society were also there and made this sweet video of all the proceedings. We like tea. We drink a lot of it at rehearsals. So will be putting stickers all over our instruments…

This Sunday morning we’re all going to get very excitable and pile into the cars and head up to Exeter for the Acoustica Festival and to play on Sketchy’s Sunday Scribble show on Phonic FM. Our first gig outside Cornwall, and with the most amazing line-up including Tunng and Beth Jeans Houghton. All that for just £12. If you’re anywhere near, you *have* to come along. Please. We’re on about 10.30pm, the very last band of the festival!

After that, on October 10^th there’s a gig at Miss Peapods in Penryn to look forward to, with support from Louis Eliot. We love Peapods, it’s a totally unique and intimate space, and we’ve been chuffed to sell out our last two shows there. Get down early if you can.

And somehow in the middle of it all we are heading into the studio next weekend to record a few things that we hope will make it onto a documentary next year. But more news on that to follow…

Right. We’re off to kick some leaves about.
